Faith • Healing • Hope
Assalamu alaikum, I'm Allia, a cancer survivor anchored in faith and hope. I'm a teacher, scout leader and I run a voluntary cancer support group for women in my community. I'm writing a book about walking through cancer with trust in Allah. Sharing my journey in hope it brings comfort, strength and reassurance to others walking a similar path.
When I finished active treatment for Stage 3 agressive breast cancer, I started a small cancer support group in my community. This space was created for anyone walking a difficult path - especially through illness, uncertainty, or loss. Our group is grounded in compassion, faith and lived experience. It’s a caring, supportive space for those affected by cancer-whether personally or through someone they love - to be heard without pressure, comparison, or expectations. The focus is on connection, reflection and holding space for one another, wherever we are on the journey.Through my journey with cancer and beyond, I share reflections rooted in tawakkul (trust in Allah), patience and hope,
reminding myself and others that Allah’s Mercy is always near.
This book will explore:
• Living with cancer and chronic illness
• Faith as a source of strength, healing and peace
• Emotional resilience during uncertainty
• The power of community, support and hopeThis will be an honest, gentle and faith led book-written for those navigating illness, hardship or moments when life feels overwhelming.
This project is shaped by voices like yours. If you’ve walked through illness yourself, supported someone you love, or found your faith tested, softened, or reshaped along the way, I invite you to share whatever feels true for you. There is no pressure to explain, inspire, or resolve anything.
You can write a little or a lot.
You can speak from certainty, doubt, grief, or hope.Your words will be treated with care, respect, and confidentiality.🕊️ Your voice matters.
